July 9-28, 2008 Volunteer Rebuilding
New
Orleans East, Plum Orchard Neighborhood
Wider Circle is currently working in New Orleans, Louisiana, to help a neighborhood
come back! Three years after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and many people are
still struggling along the Road Home and in rebuilding their lives and homes.
Wider
Circle volunteers are working together with the McCall Family and other neighbors
to:
Finish home repairs (framing, drywalling, and painting)
Construct ramp for side door entry
Construct stairs for front entry
Remediation, debris removal, and neighborhood clean-up
Reach out to those abandoned after Hurricane Katrina
